Welcome to the new department! And welcome to Gina Le Faux who is setting up and running it. Gina is one of the top fiddle players in the country; a maker & restorer of Violins, Violas, Cellos, Basses & Bows and an expert on instruments of the Violin Family. She is also an International performer, teacher and recording artist.Gina has been a maker of, and dealer in, violins etc for over 20 years and has now joined forces with The Music Room to offer a first class Repair & Restoration service and a selection of New and Quality Old Violins, Violas, Cellos, Basses & Bows.

The New Department caters for Traditional, Classical, Rock & Jazz musicians and offers a selection of acoustic and electric instruments, accessories and books. All the instruments are professionally set up by Gina in her own workshop, to a high standard and are fitted with top quality bridges, pegs, tailpieces and strings.

I can accommodate any individual set up requirements, Bridge Curves, String Heights and Spacing, Pick Up Fitting etc. If you tell me what you want I will set your instrument up accordingly. I am also able to offer a choice of Strings & Accessories in a range of prices, plus a selection of Chin Rests & Shoulder Rests, Tuners and Cases. If we don’t have your accessory requirement in stock we can order it for you.

We have a good selection of New and Old Violins, both acoustic and electric, together with Student Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double Basses. We also have a good selection of Bows both old and new. A selection of Bridge electric 4 & 5 string fiddles plus Bridge acoustic fiddles and Coda Carbon bows are available. We now offer New Violins that I have hand-finished, varnished and set up in my workshop, exclusively for The Music Room. These instruments are very good tonally, they look great and they are great to play; they retail at under £1000, and for that you get a lot of violin for your money!

We also stock New Violin, Viola, Cello & Bass outfits for the new musician and also offer “Upgraded” outfits, which are the same instruments but I have fitted a better quality bridge, sound post and strings.
